Since 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has raised more than $1.4 billion in proceeds for Arkansas students, helping to sur 822,000 scholarships awarded so far. More than 92 cents of every dollar of lottery revenue goes to prizes, scholarships, retailer commissions, and other expenses in Arkansas.

THE ARKANSAS ACADEMIC CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Academic Challenge Program provides educational assistance to Arkansas residents in pursuit of a higher education. This scholarship is available to students regardless of their academic status, whether just graduating from high school, currently enrolled in college, enrolling in college for the first time, or re-enrolling after a period of time out of college. The deadline to apply is July 1. 

THE ARKANSAS WORKFORCE CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP 

The Arkansas Workforce Challenge Award provides financial assistance to Arkansas residents applying for certificate programs for occupations in high demand. A list of these occupations can be found here. Students must apply at least 30 days prior to enrollment in an eligible program. Students who already receive the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship are not eligible to apply. 

THE ARKANSAS CONCURRENT CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP 

This scholarship is being replaced by the new ACCESS to Acceleration Program. 

THE ACCESS TO ACCELERATION SCHOLARSHIP 

Replaces the Concurrent Challenge Scholarship Program. Implementation is expected to happen in phases: the concurrent course reimbursement increase will be implemented by Fall 2025; the impact on the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship funding is expected to start by Fall 2027; and full implementation is expected by Fall 2029.
